There’s an urban tale out there regarding a guy who could go into any Gambling den in any city, walk straight up to a slot machine, whisper some thing into its slot, pull on its arm and out would pour a jackpot.
He was recognized as the Slot machine game Whisperer.
Well, I’ve in no way met anybody similar to that. Except in nearly every single Gambling house I have been I have heard people speak of this tale.
I have noticed men and women speak to slot machines. I’ve viewed individuals yell at slots. I have observed men and women smack slot machines. But I have certainly not observed them win the jackpot right after doing such a thing.
The first time I heard about the Slot machine Whisperer I was in a Reno Gambling den. I was playing black jack when I heard a buzz go by way of the Casino. The gambler next to me, his name was Jon, told me that the excitement was because an individual had seen the Slot machine Whisperer enter the Gambling den. He then proceeded to tell me the story of the Whisperer and how he had mastered slot machines.
Shortly after that there have been security guards milling about all over the place. And they have been all bee lined to the slot machine pit.
He advised me this was extremely unusual as the Slot machine Whisperer was a really gentle man. And that he only took the jackpot from one slot machine. He never attempted to take a Gambling den for each slot machine jackpot. He also advised me that the Whisperer also gave 50 % of his slot machine game jackpots to an orphanage. He was not a greedy man.
A number of minutes later we saw security carrying a man out of the machine pit. The word was that he wasn’t the Slot machine game Whisperer except some thief who was trying to use an electrical device to defraud the slot machine games.
I’ve certainly not run into the Slot machine Whisperer. I do not know if he even exists. I think of him as an urban tale or a myth some slot machine gambler dreamed up.
But the thought of an individual who can master slot machines just by speaking softly to them is sort of romantic. Like a contemporary day Gambling establishment Robin Hood.
